S10 BARCODE : IS THE OFFICIAL LABEL REQUIREMENT

From 1st January 2019, Royal Mail require a

Commodity, UPU Compliant, S10 Barcode Label,

to be affixed to your International Post.

Royal Mail should have sent you a Link to the

Government Commodity Code Lookup Website,

where you can check the "COMMODITY CODE" for

your Product(s). Please contact your Royal Mail

Account Manager for further information.

Our understanding of the above, is that the

Commodity Code IS also known as a Harmonisation

Code (HS Tariff Number on the CN22\23). Once you

know your Commodity Code, you should be able to

access your RM Click & Drop System and and get

the S10 Barcode Sequence Number.

The S10 Barcode is a 13 Digit Sequence. We

are happy to Generate the appropriate barcode

for your S10 Number, FREE OF CHARGE, which

is FULLY COMPLIANT with the UPU RULES

(Size, Width, Height, Density etc.)

COMMODITY CODE LABELS :  ARE UNOFFICIAL

Due to the lack of information available, many

of our Customers are trying their best to be

Compliant. Many have reported that they are

writing the Commodity Code onto their

International Post and it is being accepted!

To that end, we are now providing

Commodity Code Labels. Although these

are UNOFFICIAL, it does make it VERY

CLEAR to Customs & Excise what the

Commodity is. And therefore goes some

way to helping reach Compliancy, until

such time as the Information required

becomes available, and, understandable!
